Another day
Aug. 5th, 2012 03:07 pmI’ve had a few things on my mind. Nothing serious. I’ve been feeling slightly homesick. I miss good friends I could depend on, but I know almost all of them are doing their own thing living their new adult lives, I sound like I’m young lol. My son’s birthday is this Friday and we’re going to Sea World. I’m excited because I love going to theme parks, I love watching the Shamu show and looking at the other animals. The last few times I had went, the park didn’t look very big and it felt like most of the rides/attractions were closed down…almost like some things were in renovation. That probably was the case now that I’ve just found out that Sesame Bay? has been opened since last year. Too bad our free pass doesn’t cover the water park. Is it silly that I’m more excited to go than my son?
This past weekend was the same old, same old. Saturday I work out then afterwards we go window shopping. I hate doing that. Abilene is so bland and boring there isn’t enough to do to keep me or my family busy. Sure there are events every once in a while but once those things are over then we’re left with nothing. There’s only so many times you can go to the the story floor mall, movies, the museum and maybe Frontier Texas. I’ve gone once and I honestly don’t think it’s worth the money to go a second time unless it’s to help educate someone else. I long for a beach, a closer amusement park, better non-typical chain restaurants and more interesting history than rocks in the middle of nowhere…..but whatever, i digress.
I’m getting bored now. 3 more work days left this week.
