Oldschool Nerd Ramblings

I’ll try to break down my tldr but so much has happened. Sakuracon was cool!! Portland is really pretty and made me miss living in a place that doesn’t have high altitude. My goodness I could breathe! I could go up stairs and walk miles without dying haha. Hannah’s house is beautiful and very clean. My home is completely embarrassing compared to it. I got to meet a cosplayer I’ve admired since I was a teenager, Li kovacs! Her sewing looks impressive even up close. I only cosplayed Saturday and something comfortable because there was so much walking between the hotel and the convention buildings. Plus I’m big. Walking around in costume just made me sweaty and gross. Saw the Japanese actors for the new Gundam Seed Freedom. They showed us the first 6 minutes subbed. I got an autograph and photo with Laura Stahl and found some cute artist pins of Maya and TotK. I even found the large Jiji plush after accidentally passing up the smaller ones I saw Saturday. I visited the pier with the Ferris wheel and watched boats go by. Had dinner at this cute little restaurant that was such a chill vibe and had some awesome berry cider. I miss it already. Coming back home I feel a little refreshed but dead tired. I’m ready to clean up my sewing room but took off this weekend to just chill and finish my homework because I’m still exhausted. I see the doctor in another week to see about getting some help with weight loss. I want to get on this because I want to work on my Yuna and Aerith cosplays.

Also, I’ve been having some luck finding some vintage merch. I found all the ‘97 chocobo plushes from VII except the green one which I want with a tag. I wasn’t planning on it but I found Cloud, Barret, Tifa and Red. There’s a Yuffie for sale but the quality is so…bad. The photos don’t help either because the room it’s photographed in looks dirty. I’d like to find Cid and be done but I’m not holding my breath. Sephiroth is probably impossible and Vincent same but his boots have crumbled. Probably not worth it. But over the week, I found the ADV dvds of Wedding Peach season 2, Gundam Seed, the USJ sailor moon cat trio plush that were limited, Yuna plush, some FF7 extra knights, and just a minute ago two of the ‘94 cat figures Luna and Artemis. I’ve only seen Artemis once on Mandarake and somebody bought it fast. Found both tonight under completely different names on Mercari. Now, let’s hope the seller doesn’t cancel 🙃
