It felt like a Saturday to me!
Nov. 1st, 2012 01:48 pmSo I’ve been back since Wednesday. My son went trick or treating in Iowa, a state that does it the night before. Then when we came back to Texas on Wednesday, he went out again. He got a lot more candy the second night out. Too bad he isn’t older, I’m sure he would have appreciated two nights in a row for candy. Ugh and while I was up there I was annoyed beyond hell. I don’t want to go into it because it’ll just get me annoyed again, but I did enjoy the little time I had with Vanessa and Alicia. Alicia showed us to one of the pumpkin patches but for some reason it was closed. The other one we went to was way out of the way. I think I was out there once and only once by pure accident back when I didn’t own a GPS lol! It wasn’t so bad minus the freezing cold. That morning we got breakfast at IHOP then headed out. We all went through the children’s corn maze and couldn’t even find our way out. Thank goodness we paid for the children’s one. How sad is it that we couldn’t figure out the clues the farm owners gave us to find the exit? We picked out some tiny pumpkins to take home and watched some goats over in the petting area. It’s silly to care but I’m glad I finally went to an authentic pumpkin patch. smh. Not surprising either but the entire time I was there it was cold. Cold enough that both my feet and hands have become increasingly rough. I tried soaking my feet but to no avail. It was a nice change seeing the trees bare and all the yellow and orange colored leaves on the ground. Such perfect weather for hot drinks. Then I come back here and it’s hot as hell!!!
Yesterday my husband and I took our son to the McKenna Children’s Museum in New Braunfels. Glad it was suggested. It was cheap and Jayden had a lot of fun. The little grocery store was so cute. I wish my family lived closer, my niece and nephew would love the museum. Today we didn’t do anything but we did stop by the Forum so I could find some clothes for tomorrow and for church . I’m not sure if we’re going to the SA zoo tomorrow or if we’ll be going to the other children’s museum downtown. Both cost about the same :-/
And honestly, I like being here since there’s stuff to do close by, but I am ready to go home. I just want to be back in my own bed, have my own bathroom to bathe in and my own food. Oh, and I passed my last history class with a 91. Not disappointed at all with the overall grade but WTF my final. I got a 75 even and the only comments she could give me was "Not enough info" WTF give me some other kind of critique. And I’ve noticed that she hasn’t offered any other type of interaction with her students other than saying "hey" in the introductions posts. It’s things like that….that make taking the crappy online classes so much easier but the classes that you NEED to take so much harder. I wish there were some decent colleges worth taking on campus where I live! The only school I went to there was ridiculously expensive and not worth going back for another semester (and neither were the main requirements for the degree.)
