The Internet isn't fun anymore

graffiti_marinaI really miss having a space to laugh and be entertained. By this I miss how active and the engagement of coscom forums, Livejournals even the drama cause I had nothing to do with it and I was super nosy. It's like, personal collection sites don't exist anymore. Everything is on Meta unless it's a broken website. I still plan on creating my own to imitate the early 2000 feels but it's not as motivating when nobody really visits these types of sites. I did tell myself that I'm doing this for only myself and to have a space online but it doesn't have the same feels it once did when it was new. So Coscom is basically dead. It hasn't been updated in years, the majority of links are broken and all of the forums were archived and unreachable. Anything social media has changed so much that it blows. Facebook is filled with boomers, Instagram with fake cosplayers, influencers, extremists and beggars. Twitterx is no longer a functioning option as its been taken over by racists and white nationalists. There is no where safe or comforting to go.
I can't believe that in the same week I found another Cid. I bought this one because he's in better condition but the first one I bought is still on its way and the second one won't be shipped out until 15 days later. He comes with the tag unlike the first one. I wish finding Vincent was this easy. I can't believe the multiple times I missed out on Cid last year but managed to find Sephiroth and Tifa (twice) Managed to find Yuffie at all and complete the Chocobo set. There's the one lonely Vincent on eBay that's over 2 grand. Nope. Fuck that. I'll keep an eye on it to see if it ever drops. Also keeping an eye on eBay in general for Vincent as I've had better luck compared to Yahoo auction and Mercari.
The last pattern piece I'll be buying for Luna came in today. I swear to god, if I can't get this pattern to work, then she'll be on hiatus. I still have to fix my Maya costume and put in wefts for the wig. I cut open some ping pong balls to use as her hair decorations and part of the magatama necklace. I will need to upscale my pattern to make Sakura's movie blouse since the pattern is a few sizes too small.
So in order of what I plan on wearing if I can get any of it done before mid March:
Maya Fey
Human Luna
Sakura (HK outfit)
The only optional outfit is to finish my Juban school uniform if nothing is done. I don't even want to work on it anymore but I need to get the fabric out of the way. The other option is maybe Yukari? Anyways, I don't want to dwell on this too long. Because I plan on signing up for the cosplay contest at NDK this year and my plan to do Princess Sakura is going to take up the entire time until the con. I plan on from the end of Feb to start the mock up and will give myself until 2 weeks until the con. I don't want to con crunch and I don't want to tire myself out and be miserable right up until I leave like I have last time. I want to take my time and have it look nice. I won't win anything but I can at least be proud of my work and show it off.
