Fandom, post-con, and muh tires
Sep. 11th, 2024 10:06 amNDK went very well! Except for sat night and the encounter I had with a douchey volunteer. Besides that, I’m looking forward to going again next year! I re wore my Coco and really hoping to remake her when Indigo’s pattern comes out (I mean, if it even comes out. Wishful hoping) I found one of the Tsukudo Hobby figures of Fuu I was searching for so now all I’m missing is Hikaru. Also missing her 3D figure cause for some wild reason a listing on suguyaya was advertising it but it didn’t exist. Really getting tired of these hobby shops selling items they don’t have in stock. Friends were seen and reacquainted with! I may consider going to COAF if I have the money and can get the family to come with me. I want to enter the cosplay contest but if not there, then I’d like to for NDK next year. I’d like to enter a costume from nostalgic days like CCS or MKR. I have time and hoping I can lose weight by then. But honestly, even being overweight still, I felt comfortable in my costume. Maya was finished in time and I’m super impressed with myself that I wore it almost all day lol. Comfortable made costumes are the best.
I started a new BL game: Noctilucent Before Dawn and the artwork is incredible. So far I am liking the story and the stages are a challenge and require you to plan and build strategically. Even the H scenes 😘 holy shit. Only problem is that since it’s still new, it crashes frequently. Then the devs wrote on Twitter that the servers were being attacked. That’s…quite insane. I can’t fathom who’d waste their time going after a yaoi game….(seriously?) Delos is my favorite followed by Cypar. They remind me of Al-Haitham and Kaveh too much but are a little more kinder to each other than the latter. My UFO plush of Sephiroth and Tifa arrived and I’m so sad how the years deteriorated all the plush with pleather. I’m stoked to have them both but it sucks how careful you need to be. My other Tifa is in better shape but she doesn’t have her tag. If there’s a safe method to retag, I’m going to try that. Otherwise I’m selling the tag less one. There’s a lot more I need to sell off since I’m running out of room but I don’t know if I have enough boxes.
Finally, I'm walking around Walmart like a freak typing this entry because my tire busted driving home yesterday. Made it into the neighborhood thankfully when it happened but still…now its going to cost $375 or $385, I’ll find out once they let me pay cause the guy talking to me was mumbling…friendly mumbles but still mumbling. My husband gave me to cash to pay but I don’t have enough to Uber home ughhhhh so I’m waiting and walking around. I’m thirsty too. So since I’m determined to pay off my private loan and car off faster, I’ve been looking at getting a second job. I need something that will simply be work and go home, no bullshit. I get it that’s impossible to ask for or find but I think Amazon and some other warehouse gigs will work with you from what I read online. I’m not broke and far from it but I also feel like I’m waiting paycheck to paycheck and can’t properly save up. And this fucking tire situation is one part of it. I wish my main job paid more. I think I get a promotion this month as it’ll mark two years but idfk. I want to be able to continue paying normally, save and still buy my weeb shit without having to worry. I thought at this point in my life it’d be like that already. I guess military was but the price was being miserable. Fuck that.
