I am so tired so I plan on going to bed really early, like 9 pm early. Working at my new area and honestly, I don’t even know how I feel about it. It’s not disappointing but def. different. So far it’s been really boring. I don’t know if I’m ever going to get out of the boring rut. I’m home along again for the weekend because my husband and son went to a younger cousin’s graduation. I wouldn’t have mind going too, but since being sick, my son being sick and all this other stuff going on all while starting in a new work area, I didn’t want my first impression to come off as somebody who’s always trying to find a way out of work….so…here I am. But, this at least gives me my me time back just for a little bit. I can even sleep in without having my son wake me up at odd hours lol. Oh and leave my stuff in the living room without hearing my husband complain haha.
So tomorrow will mark the 100 day marking before my trip to Hawaii. And speaking of that, I have been doing a piss poor job at saving a decent amount of money for my trip. Not that I’m profligate in my spending, but everytime I feel like I’m doing well, then there’s bills and other things I have to get, then the idea to go on a little weekend trip comes up and I’ll end up spending money for gas or food and sometimes even clothes; I end up right back where I started. Ugh. And speaking of Hawaii again (because of the month I’m going in) I have a class that’s going to cross through it. Since I had some leftover TA, I went ahead and registered for 4 classes. Originally, I had received a Pell Grant, but because I had only enrolled in two classes the grant was only going to be less than half of what I was supposed to receive. I was supposed to receive $2,100 but it got cut to $500. That wouldn’t even pay for one full class. THANKFULLY, because I had leftover TA I was able to switch it so that I could have my classes paid in full and still be able to receive my Pell Grant. It blows that I’ll have two classes going on at the same time and one going on during my vacation, BUT at the same time….this grant will pay for my Hawaii trip LOL……so it kind of works out just in case I can’t get my regular account up to what I want it to be. Let’s just hope I get it before September.
Oh yeah, I need to get my son his passport. It’s such a pain in the ass knowing that both of us (husband) has to turn in the sheet together, but I’m not allowed to do it alone unless I have some type of paper stating WHY is he not there with me. Simple, because he’s at work. Then there’s other stuff that I’d have to bring with me just to turn the sheet it. I think I’ll work on it next week sometime. I obviously can’t do it tomorrow other than to fill out the paperwork.
Ok, gotta walk to dog in a minute.
